EXERCISE 03: LINE DESIGN

EXERCISE 03: LINE DESIGN
CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER

The main objective for the Exercise 03: Line Design was to use various types of line art that will add a layer of visual appeal for the certificate. I have learned that lines can create such statements from a thick to thin, vartical or horizontal, straight or curved, and even lines with textures or simplistic lines. With line being one of the foundations of design, it is really important to establish a design with the use of accurate and fitting line art on any given design.

For the output that I have created, it can be seen that the main background is a mixture of irregular shapes with varying types and thickness of lines. I have reduced the opacity in order to give highlight and emphasis for the text contents. To have a consistent design this second semester,  I created a 3D typeface for the word "congratulations" to add perspective to the whole certificate making it not looking very flat. For the font styles, I focused on the futuristic category of fonts as I do think it has a diverse choice that can be matched together. As for the lines that goes below the names or signatures, I used a dashed line to not make it too strong to the eyes and have that sense of delicacy for the whole certificate design.
