EXERCISE 10: GAME ENVIRONMENT DESIGN

EXERCISE 10: GAME ENVIRONMENT DESIGN CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER   In this final  EXERCISE 10: GAME ENVIRONMENT DESIGN , I really want to give off  the theme choice that I have been using for the entire semester. This futuristic and cyberpunk aesthetic has been something fun to explore and play around with. I did also want this final exercise to be fun to make and I really did have an enjoyment in the process of seeing my work come together. Combining Depth & Perspective with Motion Graphics for this game design, I went with an interior of what seems to be a spaceship in the galaxy far away. Using cold colors such as bluish grey, Deep Purple, Mint Green and Cold Black I was able to create an atmosphere that is chill to look at. This game was mainly about cats in space going through the halls of this spaceship as they battle and pass through some obstacles along the way. I did not go in detail with the animation and kept it simple. For th...

EXERCISE 07: PORTFOLIO COVER USING UNITY & HARMONY

EXERCISE 07: PORTFOLIO COVER USING UNITY & HARMONY CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER   For this  EXERCISE 07: PORTFOLIO COVER USING UNITY & HARMONY , I honestly was not fully aware that this was assigned. I got my thoughts mixed up with the Arts & Crafts Activity but eitherways, in this Exercise I really approached the design in a very fitting aesthetic or general theme being in line to the type of art pieces that I usually create. There is this sense of futurism and dynamic shapes. To achieve unity and harmony, I made sure that the whole design would not look too cluttered on certain areas. I have set specific view points where the use of elements such as shapes and text are placed balanced on both sides and would look decently organized. PORTFOLIO COVER DESIGN

EXERCISE 10: TEXTURED DESIGN TO PRESENT A POWER OF PERSUASION AD

EXERCISE 10: TEXTURED DESIGN TO PRESENT A POWER OF PERSUASION AD CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER In this  EXERCISE 10: TEXTURED DESIGN TO PRESENT A POWER OF PERSUASION AD , the task is to create this ad with textured elements and with the use of a persuasion technique to convey a message or agenda. I have chosen to have this as a poster type of design where the layout allows the viewers to access smaller details of the whole poster. The topic that I have chosen to shed light to was the current state of our planet. There is this responsibility that we have for our planet where unfortunately we are failing to maintain. We often do not care not unless we are heavily affected. It is an important advocay to create a planet that is sustainable for the future generations to come. For the design of the poster, the layout is this dynamic and has this futuristic appeal to it. I actually planned to render a cloud text on blender that woul...

EXERCISE 09: PICTORIAL MODERNISM • CUBISM POSTER

Image
EXERCISE 09: PICTORIAL MODERNISM CUBISM POSTER CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER The style of cubism was certainly one of the artstyles that I find really challenging, it may seem like a simple use of varying shapes and colors but as I research the process behind, it has many aspects to consider, such as the flow of the shapes, how the use of shapes will reflect the object of the painting, and for the colors is how it will add layers and dimensions to the whole art piece. In this EXERCISE 09:  PICTORIAL MODERNISM CUBISM POSTER, I was mostly challenged by having to use geometric shapes and form them in a way that it would have sharp edges. The colors that I have used are mostly earthly colors that would give of this nostalgic appeal. I have also chosen to use the song by Francisco Santioago titled: Pilipinas Kong Mahal as a topic and an element of text to accompany this artpiece. CUBISM POSTER DESIGN

EXERCISE 08: DESIGN PATTERN, MOVEMENT, & RHYTHM

Image
EXERCISE 08: DESIGN PATTERN, MOVEMENT, & RHYTHM CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER Upon creating a pattern, the main obstacle that I encountered was having an idea of what to create. It took me quite some time to have that concept to process and use. As I watch ways to create a pattern, I came across this video where the artist used Krita's wrap tool to create seamless patterns. As I follow the process, I got really irritated because it takes more than 30 seconds for thr program to process the action I do on krita. When I use a brush, I have to wait for soo long for it to appear and with that result, it took me ages to also undo line works. I scrapped that idea and tried finding another way. As I scroll through youtube I then came across with another video, but this time the artist used Adobe Photoshop with such easy to follow steps and a very precise result. The artist created a pattern which was saved in the tool sets of Photoshop which can th...

EXERCISE 07: ARTS & CRAFTS HANDCRAFTED PAPER DESIGNS

EXERCISE 07: ARTS & CRAFTS HANDCRAFTED PAPER DESIGNS CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER Through the process of creating my output for the EXERCISE 07: ARTS & CRAFTS HANDCRAFTED PAPER DESIGN. I have thought of creating an item that would be useful to me and can be an element of a decoration in my work desk. For most late night works, using a candle lamp would reduce the usage of electic powered lights and would add a sense of peaceful environment that could really help me have a calm state of mind as I do school works. I saw the opportunity to use paper as a side material rather than the main highlight of the actual handcrafted output. And the involvement of too much paper could also increase the chances of getting burned from the candle fire. Thus why I processed the used paper into smaller bits to add weight and mix with the sand with the purpose of holding the candle on the right place. Other than that, I used an Old Jar, some White Strings that have...

EXERCISE 04: INFOGRAPHICS

Image
EXERCISE 04: INFOGRAPHICS CONSOEUR BENEDICTE J. CABILES - BMMA 1ST YEAR 2ND SEMESTER As I create my output for the EXERCISE 04: INFOGRAPHICS, I took note of the elements that seems to be missing on my previous works. This includes that things that I need to avoid and the things that I need to keep up. I have noticed that my main didifficulty has been the use of the right colors that will work together. In most cases I tend to use too many elements that makes my designs too overly decorated and hard to look at. I this case, I used a color palette generator that allowed me to formulate color combinations that would work well altogether and would also fit the topic of the design.  I used available graphic designs and my challenge would be to fit them all properly on an infographic template. With the use of consistent color palette and fonts that are easy to read and has hierarchy present in them. I kept the organization of contents simple and easy to access by the viewer's eyes...
